For Ronald, working with Novacolor products has been transformative. Known for its diverse range of high-quality decorative plasters and paint finishes, Novacolor’s collection empowers artists like Ronald to achieve extraordinary results. Among his favorites is the Archi+ line, renowned for its unique textures and color variations, allowing for true customization. Each project brings new challenges and an opportunity for Ronald to showcase his skill in both traditional painting and modern plaster techniques.

The ‘Bali’ Project: A Journey to Tranquility

Recently, Ronald embarked on a remarkable project for a client seeking to infuse their home with the calm, natural beauty of Bali. The client’s vision included a Balinese-inspired en-suite bathroom and a chic coffee corner that seamlessly matched the marble elements in their kitchen. Using a combination of Novacolor products, Ronald expertly crafted two distinct finishes that harmonized with the overall aesthetic of the home.

Bringing Bali to the Bathroom with Archi+ Pietra Intonaco

To transform the bathroom into a Balinese-inspired haven, Ronald selected Novacolor’s Archi+ Pietra Intonaco, specifically in Bianco. This plaster was the ideal choice, echoing the stone-like textures often found in Balinese design. Known for its natural and organic feel, Pietra Intonaco has a touch of bronze and gold mica flakes that adds subtle shine, creating a warm, inviting ambiance. The client had envisioned a space that felt both natural and luxurious, pairing beautifully with handpicked tiles and custom sinks that embodied the Balinese aesthetic.

For added functionality and durability, particularly around the sink area, Ronald applied two coats of Fase Silossanica Transparent. This transparent finish protects the wall from water splashes without altering the pristine look of the Pietra Intonaco. The result is a tranquil and durable bathroom space that invites relaxation and adds a unique elegance to the home.

Crafting a Marble Look for the Coffee Corner with Florenzia

The second area Ronald designed was the coffee corner backsplash, a visually striking focal point that needed to complement the marble countertops in the adjacent kitchen. Ronald and his client agreed that a plastered marble effect would deliver the most authentic, luxurious feel. Using Novacolor Florenzia, Ronald recreated the rich, glossy marble effect that blended seamlessly with the kitchen’s design.

This intricate process required a creative workaround. Due to the tight space between the kitchen cabinets, Ronald chose to apply the Florenzia plaster to a custom wooden panel, which was then mounted onto the wall. This approach preserved the integrity of the cabinetry while achieving the fluid marble look the client desired. Ronald spent hours perfecting the color balance and flow with five carefully chosen colors, even creating test panels to ensure a flawless match with the kitchen countertops. The end result was an impressive, artful feature that not only met the client’s expectations but continues to draw admiration from visitors.
